Construction of central heating in the village of Velký Karlov
Name:
Construction of central heating in the village of Velký Karlov
Location (settlement, country):
Velký Karlov, Czech Republic (Znojmo region)
Brief description of the technology:
Low-pressure hot water boiler installation is located in a former primary school building Velký Karlov. Boiler installation for the combustion of biomass and extra-light heating oil was constructed in the building in 2001. In the same year a steel storage hall was built for the storage of cereal straw packages, which is the primary fuel.
Two boilers have been installed in the boiler installations. The first one is an essential resource; this is a hot-water boiler for the combustion of cereal straw packages (type TFU 1000 produced by Tractant Fabri Kolín) having a capacity of 1000 kWheat. The boiler is designed for burning cereal straw and packages of cereal straw having standard package dimensions of 2.2 x 1.2 x 0.7 m with an average moisture content of 18-20%. The second one is the hot-water boiler for the combustion of extra-light heating oil (ELTO) (type Paroma-Simplex) with a burner interval S2 88/2 at the power of 460 kWheat. This boiler primarily serves as a backup source.
The heating medium is hot water heated to the temperature of 95°C at the outlet from the boiler and having a temperature of about 70°C on the return side.
The management system in boiler installation is provided by Electronic MG. For the measurement of output heat from the boiler installation the meter Calmex VKP 131st Set Sontex (ENBRA) is used. Supercal 531 is used for measuring heat consumption at the foot of an apartment building with 6 small flats. For the measurement of heat in other rental housing facilities the device RAY 447 (AVOS Vyškov) is used.
Why is it a „Best practice”:
This installation can be included as „Best Practice” because by gradual replacement of local coal-heating system to central heating systems with modern technologies of biomass burning, it is going to an appreciable reduction in the emission load of air in the village and also this system reduce the energy consumption of the village.
