Brief description of the technology:
The biomass heating plant is working with 2 x 2.5 MW Kohlbach boilers. The thermal capacity of the furnace is 5 MW, while the overall thermal output is 4 MW. The boilers burn wood chips as well as saw dust, timber residues and bark. These raw materials enter the boilers without any pre-treatment. The amount of air-dried wood chips (water content about 30-35 %) used annually is about 7.800 tonnes. The storage capacity suffices for 1 week.
