Central heating source for housing Malé Pole in town Slavičín
Name:
Central heating source for housing Malé Pole in town Slavičín
Location (settlement, country):
Slavičín, Czech Republic (Zlín region)
Brief description of the technology:
This system includes a combined gas, cogeneration and woodchips heated hot water boiler room with hot a water heating system with forced circulation. This system is placed in a separate building. In this building there are two rooms with boilers, rooms for water modification and the distributor, halls for the biomass boiler, the accumulating tank and the expander, in addition there is a storage room for wood chips, and there is a services room and a workroom too.The main aim of the boiler room reconstruction was to achieve the reduction of losses in the distribution system, to install a new source using renewable fuel, and thereby reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. The boiler room covered:
- two gas cogeneration units Tedom type MT–140–SP, power 226 kW, efficiency 87%. From these units waste heat is used.
- two gas boilers ČKD Dukla KDVE 250, power 2.5 MW, efficiency 92%.
- biomass boiler Kohlbach K8–1600, power 1.6 MW, efficiency 85%.
Why is it a „Best practice”?
The combination of cogeneration units and a biomass boiler present one of the possible variants of highly ecological heating solutions with convenient economical costs and environmental impacts.
