The plant in Furth im Wald shows an example for a well arranged project with prospects for good returns (ROI). Although the building could have been smaller and therefore cheaper, the total investment was still reasonable, and the comparatively dense heat grid leads to an ecologically and economically efficient project. The heat plant supplies the municipal hospital, a slaughterhouse, an old people’s home, an assisted living complex and a retail shop, which are situated quite near to each other as well as not far from the heat plant’s site.
