Workshop in Leipzig - Fraunhofer MOEZ
One of the important aspects of regional energy planning is to enhance local acceptance towards the use of renewable energy sources. In the project COACH BioEnergy several activities focus on fostering local acceptance of innovative technologies for biomass utilization.
In order to exchange experience, the COACH BioEnergy project was presented on the workshop Social Aspects of the regional Energy Concepts on 7th of June 2011 in Leipzig (organized within the project “Regional energy concepts in Baltic Sea Region”, financed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research). On the workshop, German, Polish and Norwegian researchers and practicians discussed how to involve local inhabitants successfully into planning processes and how to strengthen regional value chains.
