At the kick-off meeting in Leipzig between 16 and 18 February 2009 the COACH BioEnergy project was launched officially.

27 partricipants representing the 19 different project partners met after the long project development period for the first time personally. After an introduction by all organisations Mr. Berndt Diehl from the German Contact Point presented important information on the Central Europe BioEnergy Project. After a dinner in relaxed atmosphere day 2 began with administrative requirements of the Central Europe Programme emphasized by Ms. Brigitte Oblitschnig from the Joint Technical Secretariat Vienna. With the work package leaders presenting the activities of their respective work packages afterwards not only the complexity of the project became apparent, but also the new logo of the project was introduced. First tasks agreed on for the future months signalised that the COACH BioEnergy project had started.
